FAQ

IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE/HEIGHT OR MAXIMUM WEIGHT TO PARTICIPATE?

Anyone and everyone above the age 5 years can participate in The Vertigo High Dine. Kids Below 5 years can also participate, just the seating arrangements for them are a little different to keep them extra safe, talk to the team to understand them.

Under 18s need to be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times. A maximum weight of about 130-140kg is advised for guests to feel comfortable in their seat.

HOW EARLY DO I NEED TO ARRIVE AND WHAT HAPPENS IF I'M LATE?

DO. NOT. BE. LATE!! Unfortunately, as with actual flights, once we take-off there is no coming back down for late comers. This is why we ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled time, so that you have enough time to register and prepare for your flight. Please note we also seat guests 15 minutes before the scheduled flight time.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Smart casual. Please note some people may find short skirts and dresses to be uncomfortable due to how the harness sits. Also, The Vertigo High Dine is an outdoor dining experience and as such we are open to the weather elements! During monsoon or unexpected rain, there is a roof over the table which means we can operate in full in light rain (although this doesn't mean guests are 100% waterproof), so remember to dress accordingly.

DO YOU OFFER VEGETARIAN and NON VEGETARIAN OPTIONS ON YOUR MENUS?

Yes, each menu will have a vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian options. The customers need to be select their preferences in advance while making the booking on the website. Due to the practicality of serving at height we are unfortunately unable to cater for all personal dietary requirements, but we will do our best to accommodate them as best we can.

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

Once booked, tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a different date. Customers may transfer tickets to another person if they are no longer able to attend. The Customer and new ticket holder should get in touch with us immediately so we can update the contact details on the booking.

Tickets are only refundable if we (i) cancel; or (ii) reschedule the event due to circumstances within our control like weather or Covid-19

WHAT HAPPENS IF BAD WEATHER IS FORECAST FOR THE DAY OF THE EVENT?

The Vertigo High Dine is an outdoor dining experience and as such we are open to the elements. There is a roof over the table which means we can operate in light rain (although this doesn't mean guests are 100% waterproof). We do not cancel or move flights in these circumstances, remember to dress accordingly

There are however some weather conditions which impact on the safe operation of High Dine. In the event of adverse weather conditions such as high wind speeds, heavy rain and thunder & lightning, we reserve the right to cancel flights or lower the Sky Table from 160 feet to a safe operating height in the interests of guests' safety.

Unless notified by email and/or call, customers should come to the event at the scheduled arrival time as our safety supervisor can only make a final decision whether to lift or not 15 minutes before the scheduled lift time.

We do not refund tickets for an event if (i) the meal is able to go ahead; and (ii) the table is in the sky for 15 minutes or more at a safe operating height.

Should we have to cancel the experience due to bad weather or if we are unable to start the lift, guests will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to rebook.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY FLIGHT IS CANCELLED OR RESCHEDULED DUE TO COVID-19?

Our ability to operate the event may be impacted by the Coronavirus outbreak, and rests on the advice and policies of the central or state government issued as a result of COVID-19. In any case of a cancellation or postponement due to COVID-19, or any other pandemic, Customers will have the full value of their ticket transferred on to a gift voucher that can be redeemed against a future date. No refunds will be given in these circumstance.

If a Customer is unable to attend the event due to issues arising from COVID-19, no refunds will be given. Tickets may be transferred and it is the Customer’s responsibility to get in touch with us so that the details on the booking can be updated to that of the new ticket holder.

CAN I PARTICIPATE IF I’M PREGNANT?

The Vertigo High Dine is safe for pregnant ladies, but we don’t recommend it for women more than six months pregnant as they may be uncomfortable in the chair with the three seat belts used to fasten in guests. This is however down to the guests’ discretion.

IS THE VERTIGO HIGH DINE SAFE?

Yes. The Vertigo High Dine & Restaurant takes this very seriously. Safety is the company’s foremost priority. Our tables are designed according to the German DIN 4112 certification, globally regarded as one of the toughest safety certifications to obtain. The High Dine capsule is suspended on 16 metal wire ropes, 8 below and 8 above the roof. Each rope has safe load capacity of 4 ton, which means a single rope can carry the whole structure, enabling a weight capacity of 8 times the safe load capacity. The tables are regularly checked and maintained to ensure maximum safety for our guests, partners and staff.

CAN A DIFFERENTLY ABLED PERSON EXPERIENCE THE FLIGHT?

We believe in including anyone and everyone who wishes to experience this unique dining experience. If you or anyone you would like to bring along has any kind of disabilities we would like you to get in touch with us over an email before making the booking so we can understand the situation and hopefully give you a green signal to go ahead and make the booking

HOW LONG DOES THE EXPERIENCE LAST?

Your high dine experience will last for a total of 40 mins, right from taking off the flight to reaching the ground. It will take 10 mins prior and 10 mins post the flight to harness and unharness you. And we advise you to reach the venue atleast 30 mins prior to register, understand the safety instructions and get ready for the flight.

WHAT IF I HAVE TO VISIT THE RESTROOM WHEN WE ARE IN THE SKY?

To be honest, you gotta hold it. Just kidding! We advise and remind our guests use the restroom prior to seating down. In case of an emergency and if you have to use the restroom during the flight, the table can be lowered down. We do not recommend this though, as we will have to take the flight again leaving you behind.

CAN I CHANGE THE FOOD OR GET MY OWN FOOD?

Unfortunately no and no! We cannot make changes to our menu and is pre-set by our speciality chefs and is changed frequently according to fresh produce and season. But you do have an option to pick your meal preference as vegetarian or non- vegetarian while booking. We also strictly do not allow any outside food on the flight.

ARE WE COVERED BY INSURANCE?

We cover you and your experience by public liability insurance. Once you reach the venue, you have to sign a waiver form before being seated, refusal to do so will result in denial of entry with zero refund.
